With Mr. Li-teh Hsu's effort,Global Financial Services Co., Ltd. (GFS) was established as a joint venture to pionneer investment banking business between Global Investment Holdings Co.,Ltd.(GIH-60%) and Lehman Brothers Ins.(LB-40%)in March 1988. Since its establishment,GFS has developed full range of expertise and experiences in providing consulting services for state-owned and private enterprises.

GIH acquired all the shares of GFS owned by Lehman Brothers Inc. and invited Jardine Matheson Group, Unicorn Investment Limited as well as management team to become the shareholders of GFS in 1995.

GFS became a subsidiary wholly owned by GIH in 2001.
