Allied Material Technology Corp. Begins Trading on Taiwan's OTC (2004/3/1)

Taipei—Mar. 1, 2004 – Allied Material Technology Corp. (AMTC, Ticker: 8017, Quote, News) successful closed its IPO at NT$14.8/share on Taiwan’s OTC market on Mar. 1, 2004. The market’s bullish sentiment about the TFT-LCD sector has stimulated strong buying and AMTC ended the day with 140,000 unsettled buy orders.
AMTC was established at May 19, 2000 as a dedicated color filter maker. It currently operates a 3.5G and a 4G line. with NT$4.2 billion paid-in capital from prominent Taiwan-based corporates and institutional investors including Quanta Computers, WK Capital, Chiaotung Bank, Compal/Kinpo Group, Prudence Capital and Toppan.
Prudence invested in AMTC in Sep 2002, and it has realized gain of more than NT$30 million to date.
